Our goal is ensure that your pet is receiving the pet care that they desire while you have to be away. The idea of Leigh The Pet Person was steamed from seeing many pets not do well in larger boarding facilities. Whether it be due to common virus's, GI upset due to stress, or behavioral issues due to over population. With a lot of local vet clinics and smaller pet facilities no longer doing boarding, it left the pet owners with little to no options. Leigh The Pet Person is a very small pet sitting business created by Aleighsha. Leigh is short for Aleighsha to make the easier on pet owners to remember.

Hello, I'm Aleighsha. I'm the typical crazy animal lady that is completely obsessed with fur babies. Working with animals for as long as I can remember. I am a Veterinary Assistant at River Valley Animal Hospital and have been working there since the beginning of 2019. I also have a bunch of animal experience from previously working at a local animal shelter and working briefly at Doggy Daycare/ Boarding facility. I enjoy helping with animal rescues when able to. I am a proud supporter of Spay and Neutering. When I am not busy working, I love binge watching movies/ tv shows, reading books, kayaking, fishing, and hiking. I also love spending as much time as possible with all of my fur babies and my lovely fiancé, Sam.

BOOK A WALK
One Hour Energy Boost
$20
Let's get those paws moving and that energy burned. One hour walk in a nearby park or the neighborhood. These walks are ideally taken early in the morning or late in the afternoon on Sundays. Dogs will be required to be up to date on vaccines to participate in this activity.
Pack walk
$30
Pack walks consist of walking with multiple different dogs on a leash in a park. Dogs are required to be very friendly for this, be up to date on vaccines, and pass a demeanor test prior. If any altercations happen on a pack walk that turns into a pet needing to have a vet visit, the party who's pet started the altercation will be responsible for the bill.
Pet Sitting
Cats
Cat sitting includes 1-2 daily check ins. Check ins consist of cuddles, play time. litter box scooping, and feeding/watering.
$15 a night
We do offer multiple pet discounts. We will consider pet sitting "special" pets other than cats or dogs such as lizards or ferrets.. Contact for an estimate regarding multiple or "special" pets.
We are comfortable with administering medications including oral medications and Subq injections such as insulin injections. If a medication is required, there will be additional fees.
Dogs
Dog sitting includes 2 daily check ins. Check ins consist of cuddles, play time, potty breaks, and feeding/watering.
